Anthology of Horror Stories, 1

Anthology of Horror Stories, 1

Our Review

Rafael Llopis is, without a doubt, a key figure in the world of terror in the Spanish language, particularly for his work as an anthologist. With his Antología de cuentos de terror (Anthology of Terror Tales), Llopis not only offers a collection of unforgettable stories, but also illustrates the evolution of a genre that has shaped fear over time.

This first part is as extensive as it is interesting. Guided by Rafael Llopis, an expert in horror literature, we will travel through history to delve deeper into what it means to "be scared" while reading a story. Llopis not only presents the stories, but also contextualizes them, which greatly enriches the reading experience.

(We recommend purchasing the second volume of this anthology as well).

About the Anthologist

Rafael Llopis (Madrid, 1933-2022) was a psychiatrist by profession, but he never abandoned his passion for horror literature. We owe to him the first introduction of The Cthulhu Mythos in Spain in 1969. He left us valuable definitions of terror, as well as essays and editions with his own translations, becoming a key figure in understanding the genre in our country.
