Bailar para las sombras (Dancing for the Shadows) is a descent. The title already warns us: this is not a ballroom dance, it is a dance of survival. Claudia Soto immerses us in "El Sótano" (The Basement), a nightclub that is more of a psychological prison, and she does so with prose that feels both dark and poetic.
She presents an suffocating novel, where Estéfani's struggle to maintain her identity while everything around her tries to corrupt her is the heart of the story. It is a story about desire, but above all about desperation and the search for identity amidst darkness. A brave modern fantasy novel with an atmosphere that sticks to your skin.

In a world of shadows and desire, Estéfani, a young dancer, finds herself trapped in “El Sótano” (The Basement), a nightclub where innocence vanishes and secrets lurk in every corner. Woken each day by Héctor to please increasingly dark clients, Estéfani fights to maintain her identity in an environment that seeks to strip her of everything.
Between dance routines and disturbing encounters, an inner voice accompanies her, a mysterious being who shares her dreams and fears. The arrival of a special client, someone like Bruno, unleashes a series of events that confront her with her past and force her to question her present.
As the line between reality and fantasy blurs, Estéfani clings to music and dance as her only escapes. In a game of manipulation and survival, she must decide whether she is willing to sacrifice her soul to protect what is left of it, or if there is a way out into the light, far from the shadows that pursue her. Bailar para las sombras explores the duality between desire and despair, the search for identity in a corrupted world, and the inner strength needed to survive the darkness.

El detallito del pack del club de lectura fue una pasada. Nos gustó muchísimo. A mi mujer y a mi nos gusta mucho comprar en Librería Casa Drojan porque cuidan mucho a los lectores.
