Christmas Tales (12+ years)

Christmas Tales (12+ years)

Our review

If you're a Christmas enthusiast like us, you'll love this storybook. What we like most about this compilation is that it includes little-known stories, as well as popular ones like A Christmas Carol.

This collection brings together five short novels by the great master of Christmas tales. Many of these stories include reflections and experiences of the author himself, who had to survive a difficult childhood. It is one of the best options to read at this time of year, to remember childhood and appreciate what is truly important.

ATTENTION: This is a small hardcover book that tries to make the most of all the space to become an economical edition. Therefore, the font is somewhat smaller than usual. Keep this in mind if you have vision problems or if it is a gift.

Synopsis

This anthology of Christmas tales includes five short novels:

  • A Christmas Carol

  • The Chimes

  • The Cricket on the Hearth

  • The Battle of Life

  • The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain

All are stories that encourage reflection and change, to value what we have, to share with family, and to be humble.

About the Author

Charles Dickens (United Kingdom, 1812-1870) was an exceptional autodidact. The family's economic situation worsened over time, and his father was imprisoned for debt. At the age of 12, Dickens began working in a shoe factory, an experience that allowed him to see firsthand the harsh working conditions that he would later reflect on and criticize in his writings. Against all odds, he became one of the most successful and admired authors of his time, leaving an immense legacy.
