As soon as we started reading El chico de las bobinas, we realized we were in the presence of a great author. Pere Cervantes has that special ability to draw you into the story from the very first page. What struck us most was the setting, which perfectly reflects the oppressive atmosphere of Francoist Barcelona. Synopsis
The story follows Nil Roig, a 13-year-old boy who earns a living delivering film reels in Barcelona in 1945. Everything changes when he finds a corpse in the doorway of his home. Before dying, the stranger hands him a mysterious collectible card of an actor from that era. Was it a chance encounter or is there something more behind it? In addition to the mystery, the novel is also an intimate portrait of the silent struggle of so many women who, amidst pain and scarcity, bravely raised their families.

Pere Cervantes (Barcelona, 1971) is a prominent Spanish author specializing in crime fiction and suspense. Before dedicating himself to writing, he worked as a police officer and participated in international peace missions, experiences that have given him a deep insight into human nature, violence, and power. Todo llegó en perfectas condiciones y a su tiempo. Son muy cuidadosos con el empaquetado y tienen sus detalles (me gustaron los dijes de llaves que llevaban en el envoltorio).
