Our Review

Written in the first person, we really enjoyed the narrative style, the scenes, and the humanistic background of this novel. It quickly draws you into the story and makes you start wondering if it could happen to you, if that inner voice could be an entity within you.

The Guest tells the story of Ana, a young woman who discovers an unnerving presence within her, which she perceives as a shadow that mysteriously influences her life. This presence conditions her emotions and decisions, leading her to confront her own identity. With evocative prose, Nettel explores themes such as alienation, otherness, and emotional fragility.

Guadalupe knows how to fully immerse you in the life of a family that is broken in every way. More than a recommended read.
