DEBOLSILLO

The Institute (16+ years)

The Institute (16+ years)

Our review

It's a truly thrilling book, at least the first half. It has a fast pace, deals with very interesting topics such as telepathy and telekinesis, and has a touch of horror that we always enjoy. Furthermore, it has a very high level of suspense, so it keeps you on the edge of your seat for hours.

The Institute is a facility where special children are recruited, those with prodigious minds. But how does it really work? What happens to the children inside? It's a gripping story that will keep you hooked until the end. It's one of those books that leaves a lasting impression and that you'll remember for a long time.

We believe it's a great choice for young people who want to read something different and engaging, without being an particularly simple novel.

Synopsis

Luke Ellis, only 12 years old, wakes up in a room that looks like his own, but isn't. He finds himself in "The Institute", a special center for prodigious children. His parents have been murdered, and he has been kidnapped. Luke will be the first child to attempt a real escape, because it doesn't seem like they'll get out alive from that remote, aseptic place full of unreal lights.
