Our review

Reading this book, we couldn't help but wonder: why did no one ever give it to us when we were children? We think it's an essential book, a timeless children's classic that draws you into its fantasy world.

An timeless fable about self-confidence. Rereading it as an adult, you discover that the Scarecrow was already the smartest, the Tin Woodman the most sensitive, and the Lion the bravest; they just needed to believe in themselves.

Moreover, it's impossible not to fall in love with its cover: that intense green that directly evokes the Emerald City and the feel of the cloth with golden engravings.

It's a beautiful book that everyone should have at home.

Synopsis

When a tornado rips Dorothy's house from the gray prairies of Kansas, she and her dog Toto land in a world of color and magic. But Dorothy only wants to go home.

To do so, she must follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City and ask the mysterious Wizard of Oz for help. On her journey, she will be joined by three unforgettable companions: a Scarecrow who desires a brain, a Tin Woodman who longs for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who desperately seeks courage. Together, they will experience one of the most beloved adventures in world literature.

About the author

L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) wanted to create a "modern American fairy tale," where wonder and joy prevailed over the dark morals of European tales. Its success was so resounding that the world of Oz expanded into thirteen more books and became a cultural icon.
