In this essay, Rosa Montero tells us what her life as a writer is like. We realize that her hypersensitivity has not always served her well and that the secret to healing, in her case, is writing. While telling us about her personal adventures, she shows us how other artists, thanks to writing, have survived. As a psychologist, she gives us relevant information about the minds of creators, using studies and experiences. As a culmination, the book includes a short interview with Doris Lessing.
About the Author
Rosa Montero (Madrid, 1951) studied journalism and psychology. Since 1976, she has been an editor for the newspaper El País. At 73 years old, she is one of Spain's most acclaimed writers in both journalism and literature. In 2017, she was awarded the National Prize for Literature. In 2022, she received the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. Her work, always lucid and empathetic, is a benchmark in contemporary literature.

Me ha encantado el empaquetado y cuidado con el que han enviado el libro. Desafortunadamente no lo he podido leer porque era un regalo para un amigo, pero cuando él lo vio le encantó.
Una obra magistral que de principio a fin me ha atrapado como pocas veces me ha ocurrido. No soy escritora, ni pintora, ni compositora ni nada por el estilo, sólo soy lectora y aún así me he visto reflejada muchas veces en la trama de este libro.
