The Long Goodbye

The Long Goodbye

Our Review

If you think you've already discovered everything about crime fiction, then you haven't yet encountered this contemporary classic. We were truly surprised by its tough and demanding style. It's not your typical summer crime novel; it surprises you with every chapter and doesn't just focus on solving the plot, but also showcases the conflicts of a decaying and corrupt society.

«The Long Goodbye», Raymond Chandler's masterpiece, is an addictive psychological thriller set in the heart of a corrupt Los Angeles, amidst the smoke of speakeasies and the mansions of a decadent Hollywood. With a razor-sharp style and tension-filled dialogues, Chandler not only redefines the genre but forces us to ask ourselves: what does it mean to be a good man in a world that has lost its way?

This book is more than a detective novel; it's an unforgettable portrait of friendship, honor, and disillusionment. Ideal if you love this type of book and want to read something different.
