Our Review

There are crime novels, and then there's The Outsider. Stephen King takes a brutal crime—a murdered child and a suspect whom the whole town loves and respects—and twists it into an absolute nightmare. We love it because King never follows a formula; his stories always breathe with that mix of darkness and magic that makes him unique.

It's a book that will knock you out, perfect for falling back in love with suspense and remembering why we love to read. A tip: go in with no preconceived notions. You'll need to.

💡 DROJANIAN TIP: This book is key to detective Holly Gibney's story. We tell you the reading order in the "Details" tab!

The body of an eleven-year-old boy is found, brutally raped and murdered. The evidence points to the Little League coach, one of the most respected residents of the town, as the culprit. However, the solution will not be so easy. Detective Ralph Anderson knows something isn't right and will have to search for answers even in the most chilling hypotheses.

Connections (Holly Gibney)

If you have the book Holly or want to read it, we recommend you first read The Outsider, where this character plays a fundamental role. It is also interesting to read the Mr. Mercedes trilogy, where she is first created.
