From Hell

From Hell

Our Review

We approached this book with low expectations and ended up pleasantly surprised. The dialogue is exceptional (probably some of the best we've read). Also noteworthy are the setting, the blend of historical facts with fiction, the illustrations, the footnotes, and the final appendices. It's a very comprehensive work that, considering the dedication involved, seems surprisingly affordable to us.

This graphic novel chronicles the events related to one of history's most famous murderers: Jack the Ripper. Alan Moore introduces fictional elements, but the result is impressive, with detailed footnotes and an explanatory appendix that provide historical data. The black and white drawings stand out for their extraordinary realism, which can be striking.

Undoubtedly, it is an essential comic for fans of horror, true crime, and well-crafted scripts. Highly recommended!
