Synopsis

A round trip, from darkness to light, and back again to the shadows. This is the premise presented by Amparo Montejano in Children of Erebus. Through these twelve stories, the author guides us on a journey where humanity, like Icarus, uses technology to escape its labyrinth of uncertainties and ascend to almost divine levels, only to then, like Icarus, fly too close to the Sun.

And as the common thread of this parable, we have the continuous presence of artificial intelligence, always alongside a humanity that both needs and fears it, that devours planetary resources and, after exhausting them, sets out to conquer the stars. A humanity that, once it has reached its splendor, is heading towards the shadows of its own decline.
