Invisible (ages 12+)

Invisible (ages 12+)

Our review

We started reading this book thinking it would be for children, something simple and perhaps not very appealing to an older audience. But what a surprise! The reviews that consider it one of the author's best books are not exaggerated.

It is true that it is written in a simple way to be accessible to younger readers, but it is a story that everyone should read. Particularly children, parents, and anyone involved in the educational field.

Invisible by Eloy Moreno is a moving and necessary story that delves into the painful world of school bullying from a unique perspective. Through the metaphor of invisibility, the novel invites reflection on empathy, silence, and the importance of seeing beyond the obvious. Imagine that one day, suddenly, no one sees you. Not because you are a ghost, but because indifference and mockery have erased you from the map.

We can only tell you that it is essential.

Synopsis

The novel tells the story of a boy, whose name is never mentioned, who suffers from school bullying. What begins with small jokes and marginalization, quickly escalates to insults and physical aggressions. This constant mistreatment leads him to feel "invisible," a metaphor he uses to describe his growing isolation, his inability to be seen or heard, and the pain of not being able to share what is happening to him.

About the Author

Eloy Moreno (Castellón, 1976) trained as a computer engineer, but his passion for writing led him to self-publish his first novel, El bolígrafo de gel verde. To promote it, he went out into the street with a suitcase full of copies. The effort paid off, and its success opened the doors of major publishers. His works often address everyday problems with which many people can identify. With Invisible, he addresses the issue of school bullying to raise awareness among young people.
