Our Review

There are horror novels, and then there's It. For us, this isn't just Stephen King's masterpiece; it's a monumental treatise on friendship, trauma, and the loss of innocence. It's a book that terrifies you with Pennywise the clown, yes, but also breaks your heart with the loyalty of the "Losers' Club."

Every 27 years, an ancient evil awakens beneath the small town of Derry, Maine, and feeds on children's fear. It takes the form of whatever you fear most, but its favorite face is that of a clown. In 1958, seven outcast children decide to confront the monster. Almost thirty years later, as adults, they must fulfill a forgotten promise and return to fight It one last time.

It's a long and demanding read, but its reward is one of the most unforgettable literary experiences out there. It's worth it even if you've already seen the famous movies.

Synopsis

The story takes place in two eras. In 1958, a group of seven children calling themselves "The Losers' Club" confronts an evil entity that terrorizes their town, Derry, and often takes the form of Pennywise the clown. After a terrible battle, they make a promise: if "It" returns, so will they. Twenty-seven years later, the call comes. The Losers, now adults with diverse lives and traumas, must return to face the nightmare of their childhood.
