This book was on our shelves for years. It took us a while to decide to read it, assuming it would be a heavy and very political read. But it wasn't. It's a very entertaining book, one that hooks you instantly. Although it contains an important social message, it doesn't feel dense thanks to the inclusion of fantastic elements that make it even more enjoyable.
The House of the Spirits is a magical realism gem that you won't be able to put down. We present the story of the Trueba family in the fascinating but turbulent 20th-century Latin America, where magic and mystery intertwine thanks to Clara, a woman with the gift of clairvoyance who will unveil the future of the lineage.

About the Author
Isabel Allende (Lima, 1942) cemented her profession as a journalist in Chile. Pinochet's military coup prompted her to seek refuge in Venezuela. Nearing forty, she wrote her debut novel, The House of the Spirits. Thanks to a literary agent, the work saw the light in Spain, achieving immense international resonance that consolidated her as one of the most important authors in the Spanish language.

Lllevo ya varios pedidos de libros en la web de esta libreria, y todos han llegado en perfecto estado, libros muy cuidados y envueltos, y si los quereis para hacer un regalo se lo podeis decir y llega todo a un mas bonito todavia y asi la persona del regalo quedara super encantada, lo recomiendo muchisimo.
Todo llegó en perfectas condiciones y a su tiempo. Son muy cuidadosos con el empaquetado y tienen sus detalles (me gustaron los dijes de llaves que llevaban en el envoltorio).
