Our Review
This story is, without a doubt, the origin of cosmic horror in its purest state. For us, reading The Call of Cthulhu has been like peering into an abyss where humanity is nothing more than an insignificant speck of dust. Lovecraft doesn't seek to scare you easily, but rather to infect you with a sense of existential unease that clings to your skin.
One of the things that makes this edition special are the illustrations by Patcas, which capture that viscous, dreamlike, and cyclopean atmosphere that is often so difficult to portray without falling into caricature.
But there's more: it includes 7 appendices! These include graphic material, an interview with S.T. Joshi (an expert on Lovecraft's work), and an interesting analysis of its impact on popular culture.
It's a book to read at night, with a dim lamp, letting yourself be carried away by the dense and evocative prose that Cañadas has masterfully polished as a translator. If you want to understand why half the world is still obsessed with a god with an octopus face a hundred years later, this is where you should start.

Synopsis
After the death of his great-uncle, a young Boston professor inherits a series of documents that conceal a terrifying secret. Through newspaper clippings, diaries, and testimonies, the existence of an ancient cult that worships a blasphemous entity is revealed: Cthulhu, a god who sleeps in the submerged city of R'lyeh, waiting for the stars to align to awaken and reclaim Earth.
About the Author
H.P. Lovecraft (1890-1937) was an American writer whose work revolutionized the horror genre. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he lived a life marked by isolation and economic hardship, but his imagination gave life to "cosmic horror," replacing traditional ghosts with alien entities and scientific truths unbearable to the human mind. Although he died in poverty and anonymity, today he is considered the successor to Edgar Allan Poe and the most influential author of modern horror.

Todo llegó en perfectas condiciones y a su tiempo. Son muy cuidadosos con el empaquetado y tienen sus detalles (me gustaron los dijes de llaves que llevaban en el envoltorio).
