DEBOLSILLO

The dark half

The dark half

Our review

It's among our favorite books by the author due to its addictive nature and sinister atmosphere. If you like the grittier King, reminiscent of his early writing, then The Dark Half will undoubtedly captivate you. It's a story we devoured in just a couple of days, with nods to the horror genre that make it unique.

The blend of suspense, crime, and psychological horror makes it impossible to put down. It's a highly recommended novel for horror lovers, as well as for writers, as King explores the dual personality of novelists in this book.

After all, we all carry a dark half within us.

About the Author

Stephen King (Portland, 1947) is one of the most prolific and acclaimed writers in the world. His passion for writing emerged in childhood, but the path to success was not easy, facing economic difficulties with his wife, Tabitha. The big turning point came in 1974 with the publication of Carrie. Interestingly, Tabitha rescued the manuscript from the trash, convinced of its potential. From there, works such as The Shining, It, and Misery solidified his reputation as a master of horror.
