The Murders in the Rue Morgue and Other Cases of Auguste Dupin

The Murders in the Rue Morgue and Other Cases of Auguste Dupin

Our review

One of the best things about Poe is that he knew how to compress a story very well, so that the reader would not miss out on the intense effect that a good short read leaves. This book does not lose Poe's dark side, but introduces elements that show a different side of the author.

If you like detective novels and horror, the great Poe unites these two genres in the stories of detective Auguste Dupin. One of his most well-known stories is The Murders in the Rue Morgue, considered the first known detective story, for including the characteristics that would later be established as typical of the genre.

In just a couple of evenings, you will enjoy this classic, rediscovering the origin of the detective genre.
