Our night out

Our night out

Our review

Our Share of Night is one of those novels that stays with you. For us, this work marks a before and after in Spanish horror literature. Mariana Enriquez doesn't write to scare you; she writes to disturb you, to show you a darkness that is both supernatural and painfully real.

A father and son flee on a road trip through Argentina during the military dictatorship. But they are not escaping the police; they are fleeing a monstrous inheritance. The father, Juan, is a medium for a secret society, the Order, which contacts the Darkness. His son, Gaspar, is destined to succeed him, but Juan will do the impossible to save him from that fate.

This book is much more than a horror story. It is a journey into the heart of a country's darkness, a family saga, a coming-of-age tale, and an exploration of the bonds of love and blood that tie us. Absolutely essential.
