Close-up of the fire

Close-up of the fire

Our Review

We've read it a second time and it never ceases to amaze us. It's so intense, acidic, and biting that it strikes us as a work of art, in Franky's style. It's him. Who else could do something like this? It's as if Bukowski, Albert Camus, or Kafka appeared in the 21st century.

If you want to get to know Francisco Santos Muñoz Rico, this book is a must-read. In less than 100 pages, he's able to give you a dialectical beating and make you addicted to his narrative style. It's not for you if you don't like irreverent, satirical, and uncomfortable works. If you're up for it, go for it! It's time to shed the idiots who look down their noses at the "weirdos."

Unique, his book is a punch to the gut and the temple.

Synopsis

This short novel fictionalizes a situation the author experienced. A man with tattoos and a beard goes up to the first floor of a bank where "respectable" people are, and they are scared to see such a grotesque figure. How outrageous! How dare he! The protagonist is not afraid to light the match and blow social strata sky-high.

About the Author

Francisco Santos Muñoz Rico (1979) is a poet and writer of novels and stories of all kinds of genres. His personality is addictive, as is his writing. He is the smartest and most widely read self-published author we have met. He reminds us of cases like Montero Glez. We await the birth of this literary beast in national publishing houses, but meanwhile, you can find him in our bookstore. (Note: This author is sure he will live at least 200 years).
