Our review

A book that we recommend to all science fiction lovers looking for something unique and different. We really liked that the stories are intense yet short, as this allows you to combine it with other readings and savor the book little by little. It's better to read them spaced out for one reason: while the plots are very different, the author's obsessions (time, freedom, death) are recurring.

If you like science fiction and dystopian worlds, J.G. Ballard will enchant you. This book includes over 30 stories that will blow your mind. Additionally, it includes a short interview and the story "The Garden of Time," chosen as the dress code for the 2024 Met Gala.

He is an author with a very interesting life that we invite you to discover.

Synopsis

This work includes over thirty short stories with surreal and scientific touches written between 1956 and 1963. If Ballard had one gift, it was his ability to make you reflect through metaphors embedded in a science fiction tale. It also includes a short interview conducted by the English journalist Vanora Bennett.

About the Author

J. G. Ballard (Shanghai, 1930 - London, 2009) grew accustomed to a life of luxury until his family was confined to a concentration camp in Japan during World War II, an event that changed his life. After moving to England, he studied medicine and worked as a pilot, but he knew he wanted to be a writer. He delved into science fiction, a genre he chose for almost all of his work.
