Our Review

A charming fable. Even more so for dog lovers, but also for others who are not. One of the great successes of the book is telling the story from the dog's perspective rather than the humans', which we already know all too well. We never would have imagined that Paul Auster could offer us a tale like this.

It is one of the best stories about canine pets. Auster, with his refined style, turns this book into a work of art. He puts us in the shoes of a dog who has to change owners a couple of times and makes us aware of his goodness and what hurts him most. Because a dog can never speak, but he listens and understands you.

It's an incredible book that will never cease to surprise you.
