Federico García Lorca wrote about dry land, the moon, and blood, and Ilu Ros has managed to paint exactly that.
This Lumen edition of the "Rural Trilogy" is a beautiful combination of classic text and modern illustration that deeply respects its roots. Ilu Ros draws the famous characters, but also the heat of Andalusia, the mourning of the women in black, and the silence of the closed houses in these essential plays. We can appreciate everyday objects like a rush chair or a knife, which take on the same prominence as Bernarda or Yerma.
Reading the plays Blood Wedding, Yerma and The House of Bernarda Alba in this format is a luxury, like attending a private, colorful theatrical performance. A book to enjoy the great classics of Spanish dramaturgy.

About the author
Federico García Lorca (Fuente Vaqueros, 1898 - Víznar, 1936). Poet, playwright, and prose writer, he is the most influential and popular voice in 20th-century Spanish literature. A prominent member of the Generation of '27, he knew how to blend popular Andalusian tradition with the most groundbreaking avant-garde like no one else. In his theater, he explored passion, death, and identity with a poetic force that continues to stir emotions today. He was shot at the beginning of the Civil War, becoming an eternal symbol of freedom and art.

Lllevo ya varios pedidos de libros en la web de esta libreria, y todos han llegado en perfecto estado, libros muy cuidados y envueltos, y si los quereis para hacer un regalo se lo podeis decir y llega todo a un mas bonito todavia y asi la persona del regalo quedara super encantada, lo recomiendo muchisimo.
Todo llegó en perfectas condiciones y a su tiempo. Son muy cuidadosos con el empaquetado y tienen sus detalles (me gustaron los dijes de llaves que llevaban en el envoltorio).
