Destino

1984 (Special Edition)

1984 (Special Edition)

Our Review

This is a book that every lover of dystopias and science fiction should read. If you're passionate about satire and political criticism, George Orwell is your author. No one like him was able to capture the problem of social control and indoctrination. This is surely why it is one of the most censored books worldwide, banned by regimes of all kinds of ideologies.

Along with Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451, Nineteen Eighty-Four is one of the most important dystopias. It is a complex book, where its author precisely details the politics of a new regime. Did you know that Big Brother is not a TV invention? He already existed in this book first published in 1949.

SPECIAL EDITION: This edition includes a foreword by Margaret Atwood.

💡Why choose this Destino edition? This is not just any paperback edition. It's the carefully crafted Destino Special Edition, with an impeccable translation and the essential foreword by Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid's Tale), who analyzes Orwell's masterpiece from a unique perspective. High-quality paperback format.

About the Author

George Orwell (1903-1950), whose real name was Eric Arthur Blair, was a British novelist, essayist, and journalist.
