Alejandra Pizarnik. Complete Poetry

Alejandra Pizarnik. Complete Poetry

Our review

Reading Pizarnik is like being punched in the gut and having your insides churned. You feel the pain in your chest, it transcends time, and you want to return to her, to embrace her, to comfort her. There is nothing more intimate than feeling her sadness. The most curious thing is that you identify with her suffering because it appeals to the most primitive feelings.

Her poetry is visceral, heartbreaking, and sad. A poet who lived her words with absolute passion. We have not read anything so profound, so human. It is like entering someone's mind and discovering their thoughts, their suffering, and their madness.

This title concentrates all the author's poetic work, including some recently found poems that have never been published. Here you will find all the power of one of the poets who best reflects human torment.

Synopsis

This is a very complete book about the poetry of one of the most mysterious authors of the 20th century. The editor Ana Becciú brings together all her poetic works from 1955 to 1972. It includes the last words she wrote on her workspace blackboard before committing suicide and unpublished poems.

About the Author

Alejandra Pizarnik (Buenos Aires, 1936-1972) studied Philosophy and Literature. Her life was marked by deep depression and anxiety that led her to several suicide attempts and admission to a psychiatric center. In 1972, at only 36 years old, she was found lifeless due to an overdose. Her poems are a faithful reflection of the illness she suffered from and that drowned her soul.
