Blackwater V: The Fortune

Blackwater V: The Fortune

Our Review

This fifth book in the saga is one of our favorites, as it leaves aside family conflicts to focus more on the main plot: what is happening in the Perdido River? What are these strange creatures? Who is Elinor? There are scenes of mystery and horror that we particularly enjoyed.

The Blackwater series is suspense with doses of horror. Its small format is reminiscent of old serialized novels. We recommend it if you like the immersive plots of Stephen King and the multi-character stories of Ken Follett.

💡 DROJANIAN TIP: We consider these to be excellent books as an interlude between more intense works. If you're experiencing a reading slump or want a break from more intense titles, they're a good opportunity to relax. Don't worry about what will happen in the end! (in that case, you might be disappointed). You can easily read the saga in 6 months, with patience and enjoyment.
