A Doll's House and The Wild Duck

A Doll's House and The Wild Duck

Our review

Unlike other classic works, those of Henrik Ibsen seem current, were it not for their characters having old-fashioned ideas. They make us reflect on lies, freedom, and marital problems. They are very easy to read plays, so it won't take you more than a couple of evenings.

Theater can also be read, and this book proves it with two plays where the author reflects on lying. How far are you willing to go? If you like classics, this is a good opportunity to expand your theater collection.

A classic to discover for drama lovers.

Synopsis

This volume includes two of Henrik Ibsen's most important plays:

  • A Doll's House: A metaphor about the 19th-century woman. Under the yoke of her father and then her husband, the protagonist fights to feel free. A surprise for such an old play.

  • The Wild Duck: Delves deeper into the vital lie. Is it good or bad? In an environment of poverty, the author puts his protagonists to the test.
