Jungle Tales (Illustrated) (Ages 8+)

Jungle Tales (Illustrated) (Ages 8+)

Our review

Horacio Quiroga wrote this book for his children, so they would know that there are all kinds of animals in the jungle. These stories have remained for posterity, so that every child, whether the little one at home or your inner child, can enjoy these short tales. Each story contains a fable, a lesson.

Each tale immerses us in the adventures of animals that experience situations as curious as they are endearing. You will meet everything from a flamingo that puts on colorful stockings to alligators determined to stop a boat. Horacio Quiroga brings these characters to life with his unmistakable style, conveying emotions through nature.

An ideal book for family reading while enriching the experience with the magnificent illustrations.

About the Author

Horacio Quiroga (Uruguay, 1878 - Argentina, 1937) is considered one of the greatest short story writers in Latin American literature. His life was marked by tragic experiences that influenced his work, often dark and realistic. He spent several years in the Misiones jungle (Argentina), where he set many of his most famous stories. Although known for his macabre style in works such as Stories of Love, Madness, and Death, he wrote Jungle Tales (1918) for his children, showing a more tender and didactic side.
