This is a book that deserves several re-reads, as it not only has an intense plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but the historical context and the debate it raises are far from easy. It is not suitable for all lovers of detective novels, as it requires significant effort from the reader, with Latin phrases and a good philosophical load.
If you like historical fiction, the medieval era, and philosophical reflection, The Name of the Rose is an unmissable book. A classic by Umberto Eco that draws you into an abbey where there is a great mystery that the protagonist must unravel.
If you are an experienced reader who enjoys learning, this is undoubtedly a very good recommendation. Do you dare to guess who the murderer is?

In the 14th century, William of Baskerville, a Franciscan monk, arrives at an abbey in the Italian Alps where he must unravel the mystery of a series of deaths. The murderer must be among the monks, but who? And why? The plot intertwines with the psychological and religious reflection of the era, with an intense debate about poverty clashing with the more radical arguments of the Benedictines.
About the Author
Umberto Eco (Italy, 1932-2016) studied Philosophy and was both a professor and a writer. He produced acclaimed works of fiction such as The Name of the Rose, but also wrote essays and academic studies. He won numerous awards and is recognized as an honorary doctorate by many universities worldwide. He expressed his refusal for commemorative events to be held until 10 years after his death.

Todo llegó en perfectas condiciones y a su tiempo. Son muy cuidadosos con el empaquetado y tienen sus detalles (me gustaron los dijes de llaves que llevaban en el envoltorio).
