The plague

The plague

Our review

Reading The Plague after having lived through a global pandemic is a transformative experience. This novel is not just a chronicle of an epidemic; it is a mirror reflecting our own fragility, our fear, but also our incredible capacity for solidarity and decency. We chose it because, beyond the anguish, Camus offers us one of the most lucid reflections on the meaning of community and the fight against the absurd. It is a work that, far from depressing, enlightens and comforts.

What would you do if one day you stepped outside and found a pile of dead rats? That's how this book by Nobel laureate Albert Camus begins. A work of fiction that is at times distressing, reminiscent of the recent pandemic, and at other times captivating. Undoubtedly, a classic by the author that you must read.
