The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair

The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair

Our review

Sometimes, all you ask of a book is that it grips you and doesn't let go until the last page. The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair delivers on that promise and then some. It's one of those novels that forces you to say "just one more chapter" again and again, until you realize it's morning. We chose it because it's a perfectly crafted modern thriller, a puzzle full of twists that keeps you hooked. It is, in short, the perfect novel to disappear from the world for a few days.

An addictive thriller that works with Swiss watch precision. Joël Dicker constructs a puzzle of secrets in a small American town, where nothing is what it seems and every revelation leads to an even more disturbing question. An icon of American literature is accused of murdering a young woman who disappeared thirty years ago, and his student will do everything to prove his innocence.

But this novel is not just a mystery, it is also a book about literary creation. If you are looking for a book you won't be able to put down, this is your next destination.
